The rest of the AAR After the jump...
First night, we arrived into camp after dark, so it was a quick setup, and light the fire. Get some hot water going and warm up dinner.

So after a good nights sleep we had breakfast, mmmm sausage gravy and biscuits.

Got a good look at the surroundings...

And finished setting up camp.

Most of the camp chores were handled by my new Trailhawk...

Here we have a look at the nuts and bolts of my hammock and tarp setup for winter. Kalisto hammock, works well but will be replaced eventually. BCUSA Tarp, works awesome. Surplus sleeping pad, Black Patrol Bag, and poncho liner. Kept me plenty warm.

We did a lot of goofing off and really did nothing we had planned on. Dinner time had rolled around, and we had Smoked Sausage, and Baked beans, great meal that's quick and easy... it's also guaranteed to keep you warm in your sleeping bag later as well as repel any critters that may be roaming around nearby...
]After dinner we just sat around camp and relaxed after all isn't that what these days are all about...
This is me sitting by the fire enjoying a campfire pipe...

We all turn in a bit early due to weather alerts we were getting all day, turns out there was some fairly nasty stuff heading our way.
I wake up about 3:30 Sunday morning, and everything is covered in slush...

So I get the fire stoked toss a couple logs on and take it all in...

After a while I was joined by Tonto for a bit, then he went back to bed, then PJ woke up and came out, eventually after hearing us talking for a while Tonto begrudgingly woke back up and joined us.
First light revealed just how much slush had fallen...

We decided to break camp early and fast so we could be sure we would make it up out of the valley we were in, if the temps would have been a little colder, or a little more slush had fallen we might have been stuck for a bit.
We went into town and had breakfast, then went our own ways home in the snow and slush that was falling all around us.

Ahh good times, good times. I can't wait until our 2011 February/March campout! I might try the hammock rig next time, or use the modified half dome 2 - interior side walls to help keep the breeze from blowing straight through. The 2010 'updated' version is ruined by adding all that additional mesh. I still think that was our best kitchen tarp set up yet.

I can't wait til the next trip either.
It was a good setup, only problem is it didn't like the slush, granted I don't think anything liked the slush.
Are you referring to the creepy, old dude as our surprise visitor?
No I was referring to Panzer stopping by.
