Hit the road for a little adventure...

A buddy and myself decided to hit the road yesterday to do a little early season mushroom hunting. While we weren't successful in finding any early Morels, I did have some luck with finding something that fits in with my love for abandoned places. Pictures after the jump...




While looking through some woods looking for morels, I stumbled across this building near some train tracks...


A shot from over the top of the wall... I had to climb a rotting stump to get this shot.

As you can see the roof and floor and well most of everything else had rotted away long ago. So I walked around the front to shoot some interior shots.

I figure the building was some sort of monitoring station for the rail line, when it was in major use. Now the rail lines only use is some scenic tour use.
